Zambia Orphans Aid-US (ZOA-US) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enabling children and youth in Zambia orphaned by AIDS to realize their full potential. We work alongside local communities to provide education, healthcare, and sustainable support systems that assist orphans and other vulnerable children and youth a chance to thrive.
Mission Statement
Communities Where Every Child Belongs
Enable children and youth in Zambia who have been orphaned by AIDS to realize their full potential by: Supporting access to education through assistance with school fees, supplies, and other educational needs. Equipping school leavers with vocational and life skills that lead to meaningful employment and self-sufficiency. Strengthening communities through income-generating initiatives by funding small business and agricultural projects such as tailoring, carpentry, metalwork, shoe repair, poultry farming, and pig rearing.
Our Story
How We Started
ZOA-US was founded by a group of concerned citizens who witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of the AIDS epidemic on Zambian families. Millions of children were left without parents, without support, and without hope. We started small — with a single school sponsorship program — and have grown into a multi-program organization serving thousands of children across Zambia.
